Here we are…

The reason I got started 4.5 years ago in this industry was so I would NEVER have to work for another person other than ME. Being a full-time bartender right out of college along with pursuing a music career afforded a sub-par lifestyle to say the least.

It actually included a lot ramen noodles, cheap beer, and movies on TV for date nights… ahhh, what a catch I was

Fast-forward to today…

My band and I have been in the studio all week.  I not only funded the majority of this project out of pocket, but I also was able to have a business in place that still generated me THOUSANDS of dollars without me having to lift a finger.

Now that’s FREEDOM!

I’m sitting here in the studio reminiscing about my journey to becoming part of the elite top 1% of internet marketers and I’m humbled.  I’m looking around at all I’ve been able to create and I can’t help but feel so very blessed and grateful for some of the decisions I’ve made.  (this is CRITICAL to your success… gratitude will serve you greatly)

It’s incredible to think about how it all started.  I went to google and found a silly little ad on the right-hand side of google that forever changed my life.

I went through almost 3 years with ZERO profit, but I kept my eye on the prize.  I stayed persistent. I eagerly sought out the best marketers and soaked up everything I could, which I still consistently do every single day.

I hung in there…

That’s half the battle in this industry.  99% of new business owners aren’t going to make 5-figures in their first month yet most people who start an mlm business want to get rich overnight.

It’s not going to happen.

However, if you can simply take more steps forward than you take backward day in and day out, over time you will build your empire.

And a lot can happen overnight in this industry.  It can start with that one simple thought, that ah-ha moment that opens the doors to a new life.  That’s all it takes.  It can happen right now actually… as you’re reading this sentence… if you let it.

Be that person you wish to be right now, in your mind first!  Then act like that person would today!  Think like that person right now!  Then It has to come to fruition… this is how the universe works and how it’s worked since the beginning of time.  Successful people know this and the world is their playground.

If you can hang in there, learn to take some punches, and never give up, its only a matter of time before you create your own lifestyle by design.

4.5 years ago I was a broke musician right out of college with no internet marketing knowledge whatsoever.  My back was against the wall more times than I can count, but I learned to embrace that feeling… I learned to get comfortable with being uncomfortable… that’s when big things happen…

It was that ignorance on fire, that continual thirst for knowledge, and just that plain old all out massive action.

Thats why I stand where I stand today.

Enjoying this life of absolute freedom while actively pursuing my dream of one day playing on stage to 100,000 screaming fans.  This week in the studio and debut record with my new band is the first step.

Why are you going through the agonizing process of learning internet marketing?

Why are you staying up all hours of the night studying the top internet marketers who have come before you, marketers who know a few things about building 7-figure businesses online?

Why are you not complacent with your job? Why do you wish to achieve more?  What is your WHY?

These are all CRITICAL questions to ask yourself.  If you had to stop and think about any of the answers to the questions above, you’re in trouble.

The internet marketing skills are easy to learn if you find the right mentors, especially if those mentors are willing to give you their exact marketing blueprints (this is very rare and if you find successful leaders who will teach you their secrets latch on and hold on for dear life).

There is only 1 variable… and that is YOU!

If a monkey could read, then that monkey could go through a proven marketing blueprint, follow instructions, and have the same ads out there alongside the top internet marketers. Wouldn’t you agree?

So why is it then that 97% of internet / network marketers will fail?

It’s because they have not and never will acquire the right mentality!  They haven’t figured out a WHY that they would literally die for nor have they begun the process of thinking like a millionaire!

There are going to be many challenges that you will face as an entrepreneur and if you are not laser focused with your goals in place then you will quit like the majority of wanna-be business owners.

Your WHY must be powerful enough to get you through the rough patches.  It should make you tremble just thinking about it, knowing that you’ve already reached that goal!  Run your business from this mindset, act as if.  To own a million-dollar business you must run your business like it’s generating a million dollars TODAY.

So many people think the opposite and its ass-backwards… “if I had the money, then I’d take the action.”  That’s an EMPLOYEE mentality and this way of thinking will not serve you on your quest for financial freedom.

If you have your WHY in place, a WHY that is much bigger than YOU, the end result is inevitable because you will take all out massive action and you will learn to think like a successful entrepreneur… because you have to.  Its the only way to the prize.

For example, the check below is a check I wrote to myself back in March of 2006.  When I wrote this I was brand new to the industry making less than $2,000 per month with my job, around $20,000 in debt, and had absolutely no idea how I was going to become a millionaire within 3 years.

But I wrote this check to myself because my millionaire mentor told me to.  I was a sponge.  I learned from every self-made millionaire I could, I flew to events with money I didn’t have to put myself around these leaders, and I started acting and thinking like they did.

Now I don’t have a million dollars in the bank, but if I were to sell all of my ownership in all my companies, my assets, and my investments I could cash this check today… that is a very empowering feeling and a little surreal to me.  From a 23 year old broke and struggling bartender / musician to millionaire status at age 27.

A lot can happen when the decision is made.  Figure out your why, write your self a 7-figure check, know what date you’re going to cash that check, and then go set the world on fire.

And put the check in your wallet… mine’s still there to this day and everytime I open my wallet I can’t help but smile and attract even more wealth into my life  ;)
